Is your Xbox 360 giving you the "Red Ring of Death?" Do you wish you could get rid of it, so you could start playing again?
Well don't throw or sell that thing just yet - there is a better way.

Before I tell you how you can do so, here are some facts you should know:
1) The red ring of death is a defect in the console that Microsoft has openly admitted as being their fault.
2) The most common issue with the Xbox360 console is overheating.
3) The 4 quadrants of the complete "ring of death" actually represent different functions.
What the Quadrants Stand For
The first quadrant lighting up means that an internal error has occurred. There is not really anything you can do about this.
If the second quadrant lights up, then the system is overheating. Simply disconnect the console and give it some much needed down time.
If the third quadrant lights up, again this is a type of hardware issues that can most likely be fixed.
If all the lights are flashing, it is most likely the AV cord that is not properly setup or inserted correctly.
But, if 3 of the rings are red, then my friend, you have...

How to Fix the Three Red Lights Syndrome
While you can send it back to Microsoft, it can take you days to get it back. Also, I've even heard of them sending people defective ones in exchange.
On the other hand you can take it to a local game store, but there are 2 issues with this:
1. It may take a while for them to get around to it, and
2. The game store employee probably isn't Xbox certified in order to fix it...
Meaning you're handing it over to a stranger!
The last option is probably the quickest, cheapest and most painless way to do it.
This is the method I mentioned earlier, and that's to fix it yourself.
